"KREISLER" GUARNERI d. GESU VIOLIN

The "Kreisler" del Gesu is an important historical masterpiece made by the master violin maker Bartolomeo Guiseppe Guarneri, known today as Guarneri del Gesu, who flourished in the 18th century in Cremona, Italy.  This instrument has had a long and romantic history, ultimately passing to the hands of the great violinist, Fritz Kreisler in 1926 and was bequeathed to the Library of Congress upon his passing.

Much can be learned from studying this instrument, and with the modifications made to the very beautiful outline, f-holes and archings, Tim creates his models with compelling tonal beauty as well as a striking visual appearance.
