Dogwood String Quartet Program

Dogwood String Quartet Program

One of the most fun and intense learning experiences is to study chamber music.  With only one on a part, young musicians learn to perform with confidence, to listen to their fellow musicians and to play musically as a unit.

The Dogwood String Quartet Program is offered annually at the Dogwood Center for the Performing Arts in Fremont, MI.  The program was developed by Becky Jansma.  Students 7-12th grades from area schools and homeschoolers are invited to participate.

Students receive coaching from college professors. Photo shows a master class conducted by Takeshi Abo and Jamie Fiste from Central Michigan University.
